Part A: Ignorant VS Humanity

Recently I have encountered some minor issues with tenants in our property.

So here's the story, let's divide the story into 2 scenarios: Part A and Part B.

PART A
We were doing renovations to all the units and it just so happens that one of the tenants was away for 2 months holiday. Well, no dramas... we just start with other units until he comes back.

2 months later, we found him and told him that the contract is expired and we need him to vacate the unit ASAP for renovation. He was back and to our surprise he refused to move out.

The reason:
He moved too many times in Australia and he moved too many times over here as well; when he moved into this unit he believed that it's the last time he is moving anywhere else. He said he likes the unit so much that he would buy the unit when he has the money.

The solution he proposed:
a) Weekly payment of K850 per week during renovation of the unit and K1500 weekly rental when he move into the unit again. *Special condition applies!


b) No weekly payment during renovation of the unit and K1800 weekly rental when he move into the unit again. *Special condition applies!

Ok ok... this is the ridiculous part on the so-called condition he proposed: He is not going to move his belongings and he will have his girlfriend living in the unit to look after his belongings while he is away when the renovation takes place. He will even write us a letter of indemity so in the case where his girlfriend was injured or killed during the renovation we will not be liable.

So my question here: His belongings is more important than a human's life??? Ridiculous.

We suggested that he should move into one of the renovated unit since it's the same but he refused because of the reason mentioned above. He further told us that we are not understanding him and being difficult with him...lolz.

Anyway we will be locking up his unit tomorrow. If I get the time to go over there for supervision I will make sure to take a photo of the scene hahaha.
